Migration of an object as a database type

1. Open migration manager application
2. Create new record
3. Enter the name of package as obj migration
4. Type will be snapshot in default
5. Select new row in migration group as shown below        
6. Navigate to migration group and enter the name as objectmg

7. Select new row in migration object present below

8. Navigate to objects structures

9. Search for dmmaxobjectcfg

10. Open it and click on return with value

11. Finally we will be in migration manager

12. We have selected dmmaxobjectcfg objected structure which hold all object

13. But we want to migrate only the particular object, so we need to set where class as shown  below

14. Save it open package definition structure tab

15. Verify that the date is correct

16. Open distribution tab to set distribution details

17. Before setting target we need to set target first as show below

18. Select manage targets from toolbar

19. Enter the name of target as obj

20. Now open the maximo.properties file of the target system(source system target system)

21. path :c:\ibm\smp\maximo\applications\maximo\properties

22.There we can find the details of database such as

mxe.db.url

mxe.db.driver

mxe.db.user and schema name

23. Copy those details to target  and click on test button to establish a connection 

24. BMXAA8183I - connected to the database at obj. 

25. Select the target which we have created now

26. Open package tab and approve

27. Click on create to create the package

28. Click continue to start creating package

28. Deploys successfully

29. Click on distribute button to distribute the package

30. Select the required target
